Webpresence is an HTML editor. With it, you can quickly and easily construct sophisticated web pages for yourself and others. It╒s not essential, but a basic knowledge of the structure of web pages and how web browsers work is assumed. If you are new to the web and HTML, there are plenty of resources out there for the beginner. Any computer store will likely have a whole shelf of books devoted to the subject. Another great way to learn is to save pages you find on the web as ╥source╙ documents. Doing so leaves their tags intact so you can see for yourself what the browser is working with to format the page╒s various elements. Or just fiddle around. Enter some text, tag it, and see what your browser does with it. It╒s fun╔really!
Operating Webpresence
Webpresence interface is straightforward and uncluttered. It was designed with ease of use in mind. If anything about it confuses you, click on the Help button in the main window. All operational details are fully explained. The Help section can also be accessed by typing -H, -/, or by pressing the Help key on an extended keyboard.

Ñ 680X0 or higher Macintosh or a Power Macintosh (Webpresence is a fat binary application)

Ñ 2 MB free RAM (3 MB free RAM for Power Macintosh)*
Ñ 640 X 480 (or larger) monitor

Ñ Standalone web browser software (such as Netscape or Mosaic)

Webpresence was developed by Jon and Karen Heal. It is shareware, and as such, requires a little monetary compensation if you decide to make use of it beyond the trial period of two weeks. The registration fee? A paltry US$20. Once you register, you are entitled to unlimited use of this, and all future upgrades to Webpresence. Even if you decide not to register, please feel free to distribute Webpresence to others (except for inclusion on CD-ROM collections, in which case we╒d like to talk to you first).
